Surf 'N' Snow Backpackers Across Sky Tower Hostel - Auckland

As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and the staff were accommodating. Great location near Sky Tower and public transportation. Clean bathrooms and tidy rooms. Good wifi and no squeaky beds. Elevator for easy access with heavy luggage.

I did not end up staying. The description on the website did not state that there was no window in the room, so I found alternative accomodation however did not get a refund as I had already checked in.

I loved how it was close to everything in the city. Also because we went for Lady Gaga we left accommodation till the last minute so the room we booked on Booked.net surf and snow emailed me saying it wasnt available and gave us options on picking other rooms which worked out well. Thank you for letting us stay (=

I really enjoyed my stay at this place! The location was perfect, right in the heart of everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything I needed. The rooms were comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. I also appreciated the shared kitchen and laundry facilities, which made my stay much more convenient.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

The accommodation was cheap and central, which made it a good base for exploring the city. the beds were quite comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even gave some tips on where to go for some good food. Best aspects: the location was perfect as it was walking distance to everything that we wanted to see. the place also had a relaxing atmosphere, which was ideal for a backpacker like myself. the common area was a great place to meet fellow travellers.

The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired, as the sheets and duvets had stains, and there was an unpleasant odour in the room. the lack of toiletries was also a bit of a hassle, as we had to bring our own.

Better than I expected before, the bed is comfort, the outside bathroom is clean, as the two night I stayed, it was very quiet in the room, only the city noise wake me up in the morning, but it is not the room problem, it is in the busy area in the city center. the only thing if it must be something negative, the room's window cant open, only a small space open in the top of the window. overall, it is good as a backpacker.

I didn't like that you charged me extra money because Lady Gaga was in town yet I had an email confirming the price for the room.I didn't like the look of your sheets/pillow cases - they were old and disgusting looking and had discolouration on them. The pillows were brown and musty smelling.

This hotel is in a good place, right in the middle of the city close to all amenities. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Despite being a budget hotel, the basic amenities were well-maintained. The rooms had budget bunk beds with a skinny mattress, but the new sheets were clean and comfortable.

All was decent, nothing to complain about.
